The Star re-publishes false story of ‘boob-staring good for men health’
National dailies – The Star on Saturday re-published a story that says boob-staring good for men health. It’s a false story. Don’t believe it.
The story compiler Winnie Yeoh, A. Raman and Teh Eng Hock apparently didn’t check the accuracy of the story which also carried by both Sin Chew Daily and China Press.
The Star says “that a German research published in the New England Journal of Medicine showed that men ogling at breasts for 10 minutes a day was equivalent to a 30-minute gym workout”.
No such study ever published in New England Journal of Medicine according to About Urban Legends.
“A search of the thousands of peer-reviewed articles contained in the National Institutes of Health Medline database turns up zero items on this topic, and zero items authored by “Dr. Karen Weatherby” (who presumably does not even exist),” Urban Legend site said.
